英文図書刊行支援事業（UT-IPI）がこれまで展開してきた事業の集大成ともなる重要なイベントがこの11月に開催されます。またとない機会ですので皆様奮ってご参加ください。

シンポジウム：英文学術図書の将来

日時:  2023年11月 8 日 (水）17:00－18:30

場所:    東京大学  社会科学研究所 第一会議室

専門分野を率先する担当者たちと英文学術出版の将来を討論するシンポジウムです。主な議題としては、著者の母国語が英語ではない場合などに人工知能のサポートで英語の原稿を改善する方法があるか、本の内容を提供し、重要な要素である本の形式や長さなどに割り当てるデジタルプラットフォームの役割、出版界における今後の変化が皆さんの研究、分野、将来のキャリアにどのような影響をもたらすか、などが取り上げられる予定です。
注：シンポジウムへの参加は東京大学教員と研究員に限定です。

This November will see the last and most important set of events to be held by the University of Tokyo International Publication Initiative（UT-IPI=英文図書刊行支援事業）.  Please take advantage of these unique opportunities.

Symposium：The Future of Academic Book Publishing

Date/Time:  8 November 2023 (Wednesday）5-－6:30 p.m.

Location:    Conference Room 1, Institute of Social Science, University of Tokyo

The symposium will discuss the future of academic publishing with leading players in the field.  Subjects to be discussed include how Artificial Intelligence might help authors improve their manuscripts (particularly those of non-native English speakers), the role of digital platforms in the provision of content and its importance for book format and length, and how changes in publishing will impact on your research, your field and your future career.
NOTE: Consultation is limited to University of Tokyo academic staff only.
